RANCHI: Tourists often come to Jharkhand and fall in love with the peaceful environment. Some of them even settle here. Bishu Nandy, renowned photographer who came to the state in the year 1951 for the first time, fell in love with the scenic beauty and the culture of the place and settled here in the year 1974. But he is moving back to his home town Kolkata in order to stay close to his family.

And to give him a grand farewell the local Union club of the city organized a three day photo exhibition at it premise starting Friday.
While sharing his experience, 84 year old Nandy said, "I am usually attracted towards nature and people who love simplicity and when I came to Ranchi in the year 1951, I found the love of my life. Here the nature was appropriate with rich culture, which adds more beauty to this place. I went to Netarhat, Betla, Simdega, Chatra and all the other places in order to capture the scenic beauty and people of the state in my camera."
Around 250 photographs were exhibited at the place which were clicked on analog camera.
In the photo exhibition his 250 photographs were exhibited which were taken in his 39 years of long journey in the state. Also collection of his photographs of Netarhat, Betla, Horap and Ranchi's ' photographs were of special attraction.

When asked what is the message he wants to give to young aspiring photographers he said, "People should first learn the basic requirement of photography that is observation. The photograph quality has improved with latest automated cameras, but photographers need to take care of timing."
